Take this seriously.
I’m enjoying the blog. It has its perils to be sure, but the benefits can and do far outweigh the dangers.
But, I am a tad stuck in a rut. So here’s where you come in. The first Soiled Saints poll.
I’d love your feedback on this:
-What would you like to see me do more of in this blog? (examples could be: social commentary, personal reflection, great cutdowns I’ve learned over the years, etc.)
-What are the most helpful-to-you types of entries I do? (Sunday Summary, people who’ve meant a lot to me, etc.)
-What would you like me to stay away from in this blog?
That should help a lot. Thanks in advance!!
Jason

How about some short little discipleship/teaching-type things. Give some specifics about what God’s is showing you in the Scriptures. What are your latest “Ah Ha!” moments?
Or some leadership insights. What are you learning about leadership in your new role as a Pastor?
Dreams? Vision? Passions?
Another good thing for blogging pastors that I’ve seen is the expand upon the sermon – Maybe write up some discussion questions or reflective questions to meditate on which are based around the sermon/message. Use the blog to “go deeper” with the message.
Or go the other way – If you wrote before you preached, you could even get some writer feedback that could be useful in preaching a message. Using the blog to help research current thoughts/opinions from your specific community of followers.
OK – I’ll shut up now. I should probably take some of my own advise here. I get stuck and wonder what to write a lot myself. Maybe the same things I would like to read about from you are the same things my readers would be interested in???

Oh – I almost forgot – all of life is sacred so don’t stay away from anything. Jesus is everywhere. Our recognition of Him should follow suit.

I too would love to read about what you are learning about being a pastor/leadership/ministry, etc.
I also enjoy the updates on what you’ve been doing, the Sunday summaries, and the personal reflections.
